TurkStream

Offshore export gas pipeline — The international gas pipeline project from Anapa district, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, across the Black Sea to the European part of Turkey.

The pipeline, which has a length of about 1,100 km, consists of two strings with a total capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The first pipe string is designed to supply gas to consumers in Turkey, while the second string supplies gas to the countries in Southern and South-Eastern Europe.

Izhora Pipe Mill — a production asset of Severstal has delivered 813 mm pipes, 12 m in length, 39.0 mm wall thickness, made of DNV450 SFDU steel, for the offshore section of the TurkStream gas pipeline. The scope of supply amounted to more than 260,000 tonnes of large diameter pipes.

Poland-Slovakia Gas Pipeline

The Poland-Slovakia Gas Pipeline represents an important gas transmission system dedicated to become a part of the North-South gas corridor in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe with a capacity of 5,7 billion cubic meters per year and 162 km in length, which will be operated by the Slovak Eustream and the Polish Gaz-System. Under the project for the client Eustream, Severstal, through its Izhora Pipe Plant production facility, has delivered over 11,500 tonnes of large diameter pipes, 1016 mm in diameter and 18 m in length, made of L485ME steel grade. The application of pipes 18 m in length enables cost reduction for the construction of pipelines, as well as enhancing of its reliability and efficiency. For the delivery of pipes to the client, a multimodal transportation logistics have been implemented, including pipes transportation by road, sea and rail. This approach provided higher flexibility and efficiency of the logistics chain.

Barcarena LNG

Barcarena LNG involves the construction of a floating regasification unit with a capacity of 15 million cubic meters per day on the Pará River, near the port of Vila do Conde in Brazil. Natural gas from the terminal is intended for transportation to customers in the Barcarena industrial zone and for the needs of the Celba Power Plant with a total capacity of 605 MW.
The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2022.
For this project, Severstal has delivered pipes for natural gas transportation with an outside diameter of 508 mm, 11.5-11.8m in length, 12.7 mm wall thickness, manufactured from X65M steel grade at the Izhora Pipe Mill located in the Kolpino District of Saint Petersburg.
Additional customer requirements have successfully been met.
