OAO Severstal, one of the world’s leading steel and steel-related mining companies, has begun shipments of 813 mm diameter pipes for the South Stream Offshore Pipeline. The pipes are manufactured at the Izhora Pipe Mill, part of Severstal’s Russian Steel division.
The Mill’s first batch of 39.0 mm wall, 12 meter pipes has been shipped to Severstal’s stevedore company,

Severstal has won two tenders and will supply around 260 thousand tonnes of 813 mm diameter pipes manufactured at the Izhora Pipe Mill for the first and the second strings of the South Stream pipeline system’s offshore section.
